Amsterdam Arena stadium

The stadium was built as a replacement of the old stadium called "De Meer". In 1996 Ajax has officialy moved to the new stadium which meant an increased capacity for visitors (51.342 seats), a roof which can be closed in 35 minutes in case of bad weather and a car parking directly under the stadium. Especially at first there was much to do about the condition of the field, many people thought that due to bad ventilation and the parking under the stadium the grass quality is not what one should expect.
