Club history

The stadium was built as a replacement of the old stadium called "De Meer". In 1996 Ajax has officialy moved to the new stadium which meant an increased capacity for visitors (51.859 seats), a roof which can be closed in 35 minutes in case of bad weather and a car parking directly under the stadium.
