Head Coach Adrie Koster has been appointed as temporarily head coach since 9 October 2007. Koster will coach Ajax for the rest of this season, since Henk ten Cate left to coach at Chelsea. Since April 2007 Adrie Koster has coached the Ajax youth, together with Aron Winter. Before, Koster was coach at RKC, VVV-Venlo and other Dutch clubs. >> previous head coaches |
Club history AFC Ajax was founded in 1893 as a soccerclub to play friendly matches. After an enthoustic start the club named "Footh Ball Club Ajax" wasn't playing very good. Stadium: the Amsterdam Arena
The stadium was built as a replacement of the old stadium called "De Meer". In 1996 Ajax has officialy moved to the new stadium which meant an increased capacity for visitors (51.859 seats), a roof which can be closed in 35 minutes in case of bad weather and a car parking directly under the stadium.>> facts about the Amsterdam Arena |
