Adrie Koster has been appointed as temporarily head coach since 9 October 2007. Koster will coach Ajax for the rest of this season, since Henk ten Cate left to coach at Chelsea.
Since April 2007 Adrie Koster has coached the Ajax youth, together with Aron Winter. Before, Koster was coach at RKC, VVV-Venlo and other Dutch clubs. >> previous head coaches

AFC Ajax was founded in 1893 as a soccerclub to play friendly matches. After an enthoustic start the club named "Footh Ball Club Ajax" wasn't playing very good. The stadium was built as a replacement of the old stadium called "De Meer".
